The team of R&D multi colour and effect paints is working on very specific technologies on decorative paints for interior use, all compliant to latest legislation, of major importance the balance of a solid quality and an aesthetical added value, all to be maintained for the different brands of SigmaKalon. We are continuously striving to optimise our raw material portfolio in order to guarantee this high quality standard the customers expect. All decorative products having it's specific characteristics being part of a system and to be applied with a variety of different tools for the local brands. Relation to trends and a quick time to market is one of our key objectives.

Korte taakomschrijving
• Develop and maintain the water based decorative effect paint formulations for mineral substrates and interior use.
• Support the processing activities of the different paint from lab to pilot to installation stage and assist on trouble shooting activities in plants in the Netherlands and France.
• Update activities on existing and new raw materials by communication to suppliers, visit exhibitions and seminars in order to continuously maintain and improve the high quality.
• Application and colour activities together with support labs to establish high aesthetical new systems for all the different decorative brands within SigmaKalon.

Functie-eisen
• Chemical and/or technical background (at least MTS- MBO level).
• Good analytical qualities and a trouble shooter.
• Good communication skills (plant, raw material suppliers, the R&D labs and their support labs)
• Good reporting and presentation skills about the progress on studies and developments in fluent English and Dutch (and preferably in French as well).
• Pro active, creative attitude and result driven.
• Affinity with a broad range of application techniques, colour and aesthetical aspects.
• Likes to travel abroad (drivers license is a must).
