On January 2, 2008, PPG Industries completed the acquisition of SigmaKalon Group, a worldwide coatings producer based in Uithoorn, Netherlands, from global private investment firm, Bain Capital.  Read the Press Release.

 

PPG's Transformation Focuses on Coatings and Specialty Products


The SigmaKalon acquisition gives PPG a strong platform for profitable growth in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and French Overseas. Utilizing SigmKalon's extensive legacy network of service centers, PPG can now offer architectural coatings directly to professional painters, as well as to distribute products to approximately 500 company-owned stores and 3000 independant wholesalers.
