Intercast Europe S.r.L. supplies optical sheet cast from a family of thermosetting polymeric blends. The availability of technologies includes sheet based on CR-39™ monomer (Allyl Diglycol Carbonate).

Cast CR-39 sheets have unique optical and mechanical properties superior to most other plastic transparent materials.

CR-39 monomer was developed as a substitute for glass and is often called organic glass. It has similar refractive index, chemical resistance and mechanical properties to glass. CR-39 monomer has been used for many years in the manufacture of ophthalmic lenses. Today more than 60% of ophthalmic plastic lenses are made from CR-39 monomer.
