Autologic Corby Speeds Up With Nexa Autocolor Express Clearcoat
August 22nd, 2008 – Fast clearcoat technology is the latest development from Nexa Autocolor improving speed through the booth without compromising the final appearance. Feedback from customers since the launch of the product in April this year has been very positive. “The reduced bake time means energy savings per job and increased throughput. PPG Automotive Refinish Europe Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Recertification
June 20th, 2008 – PPG’s Automotive Refinish business in Europe has been recertified the ISO 9001:2000 standard in all locations, for all brands. This certification recognises the capability of PPG Automotive Refinish to deliver consistent products and services and is based on audits on production sites in Stowmarket and Milan and commercial units from 13 locations across Europe. PPG Celebrates 125 Years of Growth, Leadership and Innovation
May 27th, 2008.  PPG Industries celebrates the 125th anniversary of its founding as the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company this year.  The company’s long-term success began with founders Captain John B. Ford and John Pitcairn, whose vision was to control costs and produce a superior product. Nexa Autocolor Launches New Compliant Clearcoat
April 28th, 2008. As part of the Nexa Autocolor commitment to continuously improve the product offer for customers, a new compliant clearcoat, P190-6659 Express clearcoat, for use for use over waterborne basecoats has been launched. April 14th, 2008. P580-2920, High Build Epoxy primer is the latest primer from Nexa Autocolor. It has been specifically designed to meet the demands of the Commercial Vehicle market and has excellent adhesion properties and corrosion resistance over most common commercial transport substrates. PPG completes acquisition of SigmaKalon Group
January 2008.  PPG Industries has completed the acquisition of SigmaKalon Group, a worldwide coatings producer based in Uithoorn, Netherlands, from global private investment firm Bain Capital. The total transaction value, including assumed debt, was approximately €2.2 billion (US$3.2 billion). The company expects to add approximately $3 billion in sales annually as a result of the acquisition.  Read the full article.....
