 Coatings formulated for internal application act as primers for the adhesive that affixes the sealant compound. PPG makes organosol-based coatings for polyvinyl chloride gaskets and epoxy-phenolic coatings for polyethylene/polypropylene gaskets.

Two-coat epoxy-free external systems consisting of white and transparent basecoats and clear varnish, designed for wet-on-wet application. These are both available in vinyl or polyester formulations, reduce costs and labor while achieving performance comparable or better than three-coat systems. External clear base coats are also produced in epoxy ester formulations to meet customer specifications. |
