quality.
• LADCO members include:
• Illinois
• Indiana
• Michigan |
• Wisconsin
• Ohio |
• Stringent VOC regulations based on OTC/new National AIM will be implemented by Ohio on
January 1, 2009 and by Illinois on July 1, 2009.
• Implementation in remaining states pending further review.
• LADCO Rule Exemptions
• Small Container Allow manufacturers to manufacture and sell coatings above maximum VOC limits if packages in
containers of one liter or less.
• Grandfather As with the OTC, each of the LADCO States author their state’s own rule requirements and the
two LADCO States with rules being implemented on January 1, 2009 have varying approaches,
please see below for the specific details.
• Ohio A three-year sell through provision allowing non-compliant products, manufactured prior to the
rule’s effective date, to be sold for three additional years.
