Andrea Rosenberger
Andrea Rosenberger, a senior designer and strategist for color, materials and finishes at Dell, conducts research on global macro and micro trends that impact the purchasing choices of consumers. In this position, Rosenberger defines and implements color, material and finish (CMF) strategy for all of Dell’s products lines globally. A recent example of Rosenberger’s influence was the introduction of eight color choices, including Flamingo Pink, Sunshine Yellow and Espresso Brown, across Dell’s consumer notebook products. Her expertise in CMF and design are important in all phases of product development including design strategies, product implementation, project and timeline management and innovation. Previously, Rosenberger led design work defining and implementing CMF strategies at Whirlpool Corporation, Milliken & Company, Ford Motor Company and Chatham Borgstena. As a Fulbright Scholar in Seoul, Korea, Rosenberger designed a digitally printed textile collection based on the Korean language and aesthetics. Her work led to a solo textiles exhibition attended by principal art and design thought-leaders in Seoul and was published in the Fulbright Review and the Korean-American Educational Commission. Rosenberger holds an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She continues to develop these interests as a visiting artist at Hay Creek in Reed, Wisconsin, and Studio Academy, Rochester, Minnesota, where she also serves on the Board of Directors. Most recently, Rosenberger’s ‘Latitude’ earned the high distinction of being featured by the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in its 2005 ‘Extreme Textiles’ exhibition.
