PPG Architectural Glass is pleased to partner with Walker Glass to produce high quality decorative glass products that feature PPG Starphire® Ultra-Clear Glass and offer you unique options for your next commercial project.

Established in 1942, Walker Glass is one of the only fully integrated mirror
manufacturers in North America, and the only one to manufacture acid-etched glass and mirrors. PPG Architectural Glass will jointly market the Walker Textures line of acid-etched glass and mirrors with PPG Starphire® Ultra-Clear Glass.

Acid-etched or frosted glass is created when an aqueous solution of hydrofluoric
acid is applied to a glass surface, resulting in a smooth satin appearance or a matte translucent appearance. Currently, Walker Glass produces its full-surface, acid- etched Walker TexturesTM line of glass in three finishes: satin, velour and opaque. These products are also available in Walker Textures Select glass – custom partial- sheet etched products – and Walker Textures Nuance glass, a series of patterned etched products.
