PPG introduces TufRov 4510 fiber glass for polyamide long-fiber technology
PARIS, April 2, 2007 – PPG Industries today introduced a new fiber glass roving product at booth C40, Hall 1 of the JEC Composites Show. The company said that, in response to strong European customer demand, it is adding TufRov 4510 continuous-strand fiber glass reinforcement roving to the long-fiber-technology (LFT) product line including TufRov 4588 fiber glass and TufRov 4599 fiber glass.
PPG announces marketing partnership with Sinoma Science & Technology
PITTSBURGH, April 2, 2007 – PPG Industries announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Sinoma Science & Technology Co., Ltd., of Nanjing for the marketing and sale of their HS2 and HS4 high-strength, high-modulus fibers in the Americas and Europe.
PPG, Devold sign agreement for North American joint venture
SHELBY, N.C., Feb. 13, 2007 – PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) and Devold AMT AS today signed an agreement here forming a 50-50 joint venture to manufacture glass-fiber reinforcement fabrics used in turbine blades for the North American wind energy market.

PPG installs waste glass recycling unit at Netherlands fiber glass manufacturing site
PITTSBURGH, May 15, 2006 – PPG Industries has installed a $1.6-million unit to recycle waste fiber glass at its fiber glass manufacturing plant in Hoogezand, the Netherlands. The investment will enable the plant to recycle more than 90 percent of its waste fiber glass, enabling PPG to conserve raw materials and avoid landfill costs.
PPG plans to invest $20 million to make Shelby, N.C., fiber glass plant more competitive
PITTSBURGH, March 10, 2006 – PPG Industries plans to invest $20 million during the next three years to make the company's Shelby, N.C., fiber glass plant "more competitive," said Victoria M. Holt, senior vice president, glass and fiber glass.
