Epoxy primers offer compliance and performance for U.K. fleet, commercial vehicle markets

March 3, 2006 - PPG has launched Delfleet HS epoxy primers – high-solids, easy-to-use epoxy primer paints for distributors and repairers in the U.K. fleet and commercial vehicle markets.

Designed to meet the toughest requirements of fleet operators, commercial vehicle manufacturers and vehicle builders, the paints offer efficiency, ease of use and long-lasting durability, according to Steve Mitchell, commercial transport marketing manager for PPG’s U.K. refinish operation. The new products comply with pending 2007 legislation limiting volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and they accommodate wet-on-wet, non-sand or low-bake work processes.

“With minimal training, painters will experience improved control and confidence using this durable application on a variety of materials,” Mitchell said. “Along with Delfleet brand topcoats, these primer products strongly support the PPG warranty system and represent the core of PPG’s regulation-compliant product offering for the commercial vehicle market.”
