Fiber glass earns supplier recognition for second year

December 29, 2005 - Masco Corporation named PPG Industries’ fiber glass business a winner for the second consecutive year in its 2004 MASTAR (Masco Supplier Team Award Recognition) program.

The award is based on PPG’s supply of fiber glass from its Shelby, N.C., facility to AquaGlass, Mirolin and Watkins Spa through Masco’s national contract program. PPG earned an overall average score from the three businesses in 2004 that was 3 percent higher than in 2003.

The MASTAR program recognizes and rewards leadership, communication, commitment and cooperation of Masco’s extensive national supplier group to achieve quality, cost reduction, environmental health and safety and responsiveness.
