Quality Process
PPG's Quality Process is a formal system of continuous improvement that enables employees to meet customer requirements. Its foundations are in team-based problem solving and continuous improvement, yet the Quality Process has evolved to encompass new and exciting breakthrough tools like Lean Enterprise and Sigma Logic®. The goal is to equip employees with the right tools and techniques to solve problems, improve processes, and continuously meet customer requirements.
Lean Enterprise
Lean Enterprise focuses on removing the sources of waste in our processes so that we can deliver value to the customer on demand. The tools and philosophies of Lean Enterprise are at work throughout PPG's operations–evaluating our processes to be sure they add value, envisioning the future state, and eliminating waste in the value stream.
Sigma Logic®
The Sigma Logic® methodology is PPG's breakthrough improvement strategy, and is based upon the systematic application of tools to analyze data and enhance process understanding.
