As the first foreign investor to bring advanced float glass technology to China in 1987, PPG continues to be actively involved in bringing quality glass products to the China market. Today, there are six float glass lines built in China, with two more lines to be activated in 2008 using PPG technology.

PPG is also bringing glass technology in the form of high-performance low-e glasses to the China construction market. Products like Solarban^® 60, Solarban^® z50 and Sungate^® 100 low-e coated glasses are now available through PPG’s popular International Certified Fabricator Program (ICFP). The companies selected for PPG’s ICFP must meet high standards set by PPG engineers and annually pass a multi-day audit that addresses the quality of the glass and coating, as well as the storage, cleanliness, packaging and transportation of the glass product. This guarantees that you will receive the highest quality insulated glass units possible made with PPG low-e coated glass.
