Duranar Coatings Celebrates 40th Anniversary in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, CHINA: On the 18th of October 2007, PPG DURANAR® coatings celebrated its 40th birthday. This grand happening took place at Le Royal Meridien Hotel in Shanghai. Approximately 130 guests attended the seminar and celebration dinner, including those from the government, organizations, line leaders, experts, customers and PPG executives.

Attendees in this celebration unanimously appreciated Duranar coatings and its contribution to the development of relevant coatings.  As the first company to bring aluminum fluorocarbon paints in to the China market, PPG’s Duranar coatings currently protect and beautify many notable buildings in China, including the country’s tallest building, the Shanghai World Trade Center.  Duranar coatings have earned worldwide fame and will continue to stand for high quality metal coatings.

CMT China Manager, Dennis Yu, spoke at the event discussing PPG Ideascapes China and the solutions PPG coatings, glass and paint bring to the construction marketplace.  He also discussed the many ways PPG products can help achieve green building design.
