PPG Ideascapes China and Developing Energy Saving Buildings

PPG Ideascapes China recently participated in a symposium on ‘Advanced Materials and Excellent Technology: Enhancing the Sustainable Development of Energy-Saving Buildings’.

More than 150 architects, developers, engineers, material-manufacturers, green building consultants and policy-makers took part in this event in Shanghai on November 8, 2007.

The symposium focused on various topics:

• Energy-saving on buildings in Shanghai
• Energy-saving Technology in Expo Centre
• How to choose heat preservation materials in building architecture
• How real-estate developers view the supply and purchase of architectural energy-saving materials

Dennis Yu – PPG Ideascapes China Team Leader – spoke before the symposium regarding the PPG Ideascapes China Service Solution. He also addressed the important role PPG products play in the world’s architectural industry and PPG’s commitment to being environmentally friendly. Yu also joined a panel discussion where he discussed, with other experts, sustainable development of energy-saving on buildings.

The event was hosted by the Organizing Committee of China International Industry Fair and co-organized by Shanghai Real Estate Scientific Research Institute, Shanghai Real Estate Association and Shanghai Architectural Association. Over
