Notice to PPG Employees - Hurricane Gustav Update
PPG’s Lake Charles, La., chemicals complex sustained only minimal impact as a result of Hurricane Gustav.
The facility is now working on plans for a start-up. Officials of the Calcasieu Parish lifted the mandatory evacuation order this morning, Sept. 2. PPG will begin to bring employees back to work as soon as feasible.
The plant plans to return to normal manning hours at shift change tonight, 6:30 PM Tuesday, Sept 2. Employees should return to work at the normal scheduled time after that point. If you can not make your normal schedule time please contact 1-337-434-0474 to explain the situation and leave a contact number.
